Salon Terms

Last updated: 2026-10-20 · Version 2026-10-20

Draft — under legal review before launch.

1. This agreement

These Salon Terms are between [Registered company name] (“Baarivo”) and the business that signs up (“the salon”), and add to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The person who signs up confirms they may act for the salon. We record the version you accept and when.

2. Plans, trial and billing

New salons get a 14-day free trial with all features. After that, a paid plan is needed; prices, included WhatsApp messages and extra message packs are shown in Plan and billing, plus 18% GST. We issue a GST invoice for every payment.

Plans renew automatically (Razorpay Subscriptions / UPI Autopay) until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan works until the paid period ends. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

If a plan ends or lapses, the walk-in queue keeps working; WhatsApp updates and Pro features stop. Bookings, coupons and points already promised to customers are still honoured.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your hours, prices, services and staff up to date.
  • Honour bookings you accept, and your own cancellation rule.
  • Issue your own GST invoice to customers for your services; you are responsible for your taxes.
  • Use customer data only to serve your own customers, and send offers only to those who agreed. Never message customers who replied STOP.
  • Make no medical or health claims about services or products. Clinics use only the queue and bookings: no medical records, diagnoses or prescriptions.
  • Keep logins and staff PINs safe; you are responsible for actions on your account.

4. Customer payments (Razorpay Route)

To take deposits or prepayments you need a Razorpay linked account in your name (Razorpay’s KYC applies). Customer payments go to that account; Baarivo never holds your money. Razorpay holds each payment until after the appointment and then releases it to you.

Refunds follow the cancellation rule you set, which customers see before paying. If you cancel a booking, or the salon is closed, the customer always gets a full refund, taken back from that payment. Payment gateway charges are shown in your Razorpay account.

5. “Salon is closed” reports and penalties

A customer with a booking can report that the salon is closed, from 15 minutes before to 1 hour after the booked time. You get a WhatsApp alert and a dashboard banner and have 15 minutes to answer “We’re open” or “Yes, we’re closed”.

If you confirm you are closed, or do not answer in time, the report is upheld: the booking is cancelled, the customer gets a full refund, and an apology credit of ₹100 paid by the salon.

Upheld reports in the last 30 days lead to:

  • 1st: a warning;
  • 2nd: a fee of ₹200, deducted from your payouts;
  • 3rd and later: online booking paused for 7 days (your walk-in queue keeps working, and existing bookings stand).

To protect you from abuse, a customer with 2 upheld reports in 90 days is reviewed by us before any automatic refund or penalty. Marking “Closed today” in advance cancels and fully refunds that day’s bookings with no penalty.

Once you have at least 10 bookings, your salon page shows the share of bookings honoured over the last 90 days.

6. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Baarivo at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses customer data or WhatsApp, or puts customers at risk; we will tell you why, except where the law prevents it. After closing, we keep records the law requires (such as invoices) and delete or anonymise the rest as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Liability and law

Baarivo is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to the salon is limited to the fees the salon paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses. These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at [city] have jurisdiction. We tell you at least 15 days before a change to these terms applies to you; continuing to use Baarivo after that means you accept it. Contact: [support email].
